The EDM 790 manufactured by JPI, USA, is perhaps the best aftermarket EDM and is worth every penny you spend on it.

The EDM 700 collects data and displays it for the pilots in a useful way.

The EDM 790 is paired with JPI’s “grounded” fast response probes.

The aircraft therefore, is designed to pre-heat cold air so it is ‘combustion-friendly’. Whether to heat or not, is triggered by the onboard engine controller that is fed with data from the IAT probe.

These futuristic looking screens are called ‘EDMs’ - Engine Data Managers and they have replaced most of the monitors and Airplane Gauges of earlier times.

Provide service loops at the engine end as well so that the probe can be swapped to adjacent cylinder positions for troubleshooting purposes.

An engine may belong to a truck or aircraft engine or a simple water pump. Every engine has a set of manufacture determined parameters within which it has to operate.
